Complete our questionnaire
Before we start tutoring, we'll ask you to complete a questionnaire. This helps us understand the learner's background, the challenges they're facing, and what support has already been tried. There is no charge for this — it's the starting point for everything we do.
We analyse and propose an action plan
Once we've received your completed questionnaire, we'll review the information carefully and propose a personalised action plan. This normally includes a recommendation for assessment and an outline of how an intervention and support programme might work.
Informal assessment & target setting
Before tutoring begins, we carry out an assessment of the learner. The aim is to identify both strengths and areas of difficulty, and to set clear, realistic targets. We then share our findings with you and agree the targets and approach together.
Personalised tutoring begins
With targets in place, we move into regular one-to-one sessions. Each session is tailored to the individual — drawing on their strengths, working on areas for development, and always keeping things positive and encouraging.

Do we need a formal diagnosis to get support?
No. Many of our students come to us without a formal diagnosis. We work with any child or adult showing signs of learning difficulty, whether or not they have a diagnosis of dyslexia or another specific learning condition.
How long does assessment take?
Our initial informal assessment is woven into the early stages of working together — it doesn't have to be a separate, formal event. We assess on an ongoing basis as we get to know the learner.
What ages do you work with?
We work with learners of all ages — from primary school children through to secondary students, VCE students, university students and adults in the workplace.
What kind of students do you work with?
Many of our students have diagnoses that include ADHD, ASD, DCD, DLD, dysgraphia or dyscalculia. Co-occurrence of learning difficulties is common so we are experienced at working with students with complex profiles.
